1960′s Salter Compact Weighing Scale


Salter compact weighing scale circa 1960′s was found in Port Klang, Malaysia. It was used to weigh heavy commodities amongst the local traders and merchants.

Historically, Salter is a British manufacturer of consumer weighing scales for personal and kitchen use, and other kitchen accessories. The firm was founded by Richard Salter, who began making the first spring scales in Britain. He called these scales “pocket steelyards”.
