TED is arguably the best platform that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most inspired thinkers. Since its inception in 1984, it has brought forth fascinating people from the technology, entertainment and design spectrum. Locally, that very same premise exists in the form of TEDx KL.
In it’s fourth edition, set in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, TEDx KL showcased top presenters of their respective fields, under an “Interdependence” theme, to bring together a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other.
One of the topics presented was about sustaining local heritage, which is the embodiment of The Great Indoors. We believe there’s a need to sustain local heritage by repurposing, circulating and preserving salvaged wood by enhancing its worth with antique pieces in the savviest business module within a rich social networking environment.
It was an honor to be able to provide our furniture pieces to TEDx KL. Rustic crate stools, industrial crates of different depths, sizes and handles, alongside black metal cage lights, black matte Tolix A chairs, short-back Tolix tall Tabouret barstools, wire baskets, calico pillows, and galvanized pail were used as props for the main stage.
